Welcome To your Operator Website

Hey guys so just a quick video to to give you sort of just the bigger picture of how things work in the back end of your new operator website.
So when you first land on the dashboard, when you first log in you’re going to get a setup checklist.
Now a lot of mine are checked off here because I’ve been navigating around, yours is going to start off with no check marks.
It’s pretty important for you to do these in order.
For example if you don’t enter details in your seasons, rates, services etcetera then if you try to enter information in your booking calendar it’s going to be pretty difficult because it’s not going to be based on any
real data. Okay?
So do them in order. Definitely jump around, take a look at how things are laid out,
get a sense of things but when you’re entering your data do it in order.
Also note I have put placeholder data in all the sections so that you can see how it should be laid out.
You have the choice of just entering your information replacing what I’ve got or starting from scratch and entering a new item and then deleting the ones that I had in there afterwards,
it’s totally up to you.
Okay? So
when you’re on, when you’re on the dashboard and if this is in your way you can click x.
It’ll go away. If you want it to come back refresh the screen
and your checklist will come back
in just a second there it is. Okay.
And then if you want to, let’s say we want to go to site details to start our data entry.
So I’ll click on site details, it’s going to take me to that page.
The very first thing that’s going to happen, and this is going to happen in each section, is you’re going to get a small tour of how everything works.
The tour always starts with a video.
So I’ll do I’ll do an overview of how everything works.
If you’re not a video watcher, that’s fine.
Although there’s a lot of information in there.
What I would do though is click Start tour,
okay. And we’re just going to show you around a bit.
So for example, here’s the site title.
This is important because this is what you’re going to be called when we show your operator listing on the front end of booking PEI, right, and I’ll get into that in the actual site details video.
And then I’m gonna click next, I’m going to learn about these content tabs that are really important and that this featured image is the one that’s gonna show on
your operator listing on the Booking PEI site and next always save your changes save often.
And that’s what this button is for
when there’s no more next you’re done the quick tour, you can say exit tour or you can click that X.
When you come back to this page and if you’ve forgotten what the tour said, it’s not going to show up again until you come down here and you say show tour.
But there there it is.
And it’s just really easy to get out of the tour.
You don’t have to go through the whole tour every time.
If that pops up and you don’t want to see it, just click the X. It’s gone. Okay,
So that’s throughout the site, in all the sections where you have to enter data now,
also throughout the site, here,
a little difficult to see, but there’s a little flashing blue dot here beside this featured image.
And when you hover over that section, you get what’s called a tool tip.
So especially in sections of the site where there’s where we thought that it might require a little bit extra explanation.
We entered lots of tool tips.
So, when you hover over it gives you more information meant to be helpful.
We’d love to know your thoughts on that.
What’s working. What’s not otr doesn’t make sense.
Also, you’ll notice that there is this turquoise plus sign here on the right side of the screen.
Now, first of all, if it’s in the way, you can just take it and drag it down,
move it somewhere else. Okay.
Unfortunately, every time you log back in, it’s going to reset itself to sort of its default position,
but it’s not too difficult to move out of the way, the reason that’s there, that’s there,
so that you can give us feedback or ask us questions, ask for support. So what the plus sign does you click the plus sign and if there’s something that doesn’t make sense like what’s this?
How do I deal with this? Canada Canada select star rating.
So put your cursor where the little red line is outlining what you want to talk about, click it and then leave your comment.
What does this mean?
And clik comment? What’s going to happen is I’m going to get an email telling me that you have a question and it’s going and I’ll be able to click a link in that email and come right here and see what you’re talking about.
What does this mean? Okay, well

be honest.
Okay
we can have we can have a conversation and I don’t need to spend three emails back and forth just understanding what the question is before I can give you an answer.
It really speeds things up.
