The Accommodations section is where you tell the system how many of each accommodation type you have. Once you generate each of your accommodations based on the accommodation type you have defined, you can rename each accommodation to suit your needs ie: cottage 12, cottage 13 etc …
The accommodations page is where you tell the system how many units you have of each accommodation type.
So, for example, right here, it basically says that I have 1, 2 bedroom cottage and 1, 3 bedroom cottage.
Now, if I want to add, let’s say five more two bedroom cottages,
I’m going to click this, generate accommodations button
and I’m going to say,
I want to add five,
5, 2 bedroom cottages.
I’m going to leave this title blank and it will generate, it will auto generate five units.
That’s a two bedroom cottage dash one, 2 bedroom cottage dash two.
Then I can edit those later.
I don’t see a really good use case for, I guess if, let’s say you have a themed facility where all the two bedroom cottages are called princess unit
and you didn’t name your accommodation type, princess unit when you set it up, you could do that.
Other than that, I’m not sure when it would be useful to change the title here.
So I’m just going to say generate.
Okay, and now I’m going to go back to accommodations
and here they are, two bedroom cottages, one, and now it’s created a second,
two bedroom cottages, one, and that’s because I already had one.
I generated one a while ago.
Okay, this is not going to cause a problem really.
All you need to do is you can change the name of the unit without changing the unit, so you can just go hover over,
go to quick edit And maybe even this unit is actually cottage 35.
And that’s all I want to put there.
I can say update. It hasn’t changed the unit type.
The unit type is still two bedroom cottage.
Okay? So you can rename everything to suit your your needs now I want to get rid of these.
So what I’m going to do is I’m going to check these all off.
You could get rid of them one at a time by hovering over and just putting them in the trash or you can select multiple.
Check the bulk actions, drop down, select move to trash and click the apply button
that’s going to move into the trash.
If you have ended up with a lot of stuff in your trash, you can just click on the trash here
and select the empty trash
because you see if you put … nothing is ever really in the trash electronically.
So the first time you throw it out it’s not really thrown out, you can recover it, but once you empty the trash it’s gone.
Okay? So here’s our two units and that is how you manage your accommodations
